The only thing I know about carrots is this: if you cut off the top where the green branches grow, soak it in (chlorine-free) water for a day, and then plant it in soil, it will grow back as a carrot. Also, they belong to the earth element. And Bugs Bunny loved carrots.
Our region isn't suitable for growing carrots; actually, it could be done with effort; but broad beans are more suitable; there's also a purple variety of carrot. And washing carrots in the river is more economical; I used to work as a potato picker. The vegetables associated with the earth element that I'm most curious about are: Helianthus tuberosus, peanut, and radish. I grow broad beans among the trees, and I'm going to get into blackberry cultivation. Jumbo thornless blackberries.
